Our Mission

At Westside Christian Church, our mission is to help people become united with Christ and empowered to love like Christ, in their homes, in the church, and in the world.

We do this by,

01

teaching biblical truth

We are committed to preaching and teaching God’s Word in a way that is both faithful to Scripture and easy to understand. Our goal is to help believers see how the timeless truths of the Bible apply to everyday life. Through sermons, Bible studies, and discipleship, we address real questions, tackle hard topics, and point people toward Jesus with boldness and compassion.

02

Equipping Believers

We believe spiritual growth happens in community, as believers learn to love like Christ, pursue unity as one body, and grow into maturity in their faith. We intentionally teach and model Christlike relationships, offering practical tools to live out love in homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods. Through small groups, mentorship, and shared service, we help believers reflect the heart of Christ in all they do.

03

creating space

We don’t just gather to meet, we gather to encounter God’s presence. In our services and gatherings, we make room for the Holy Spirit to guide, speak, heal, and transform lives. Through Spirit-led worship, times of prayer, and opportunities for testimony and encouragement, we cultivate an atmosphere where people are expectant and responsive to God’s leading.

04

mobilizing every member

Every believer has a role to play in God’s kingdom, and every gift matters. We are intentional about helping people discover their God-given gifts, equipping them to use those gifts effectively, and creating opportunities for them to serve. Whether inside the church or out in the community, our mission is to see every member engaged in ministry that brings hope, healing, and restoration to others.

Our Goals

Love and Unity
We are becoming a people known not just for what we believe, but how we love. Our highest calling is to grow in the love of Christ and walk in unity as one body.1. Teach the love and unity of Christ through biblical truth, especially Christology and the Trinity.2. Train believers in how to live out love practically, in homes, relationships, and community.3. Foster a culture of belonging, encouragement, and mutual care across all generations.
Identify, Develop, and Release
Every person has a part. Every gift has a place. Every believer has a call.
1. Discover and nurture the spiritual gifts present within the congregation.
2. Equip and train people to operate confidently and biblically in those gifts.
3. Provide opportunities for members to actively use their gifts in the life of the church.
Environments for the Spirit of God
We don’t just attend services—we host the presence of God.
1. Design worship services that are Spirit-sensitive and led by prayer, healing, and activation.
2. Make room for the voices of the people of God—through testimonies, teaching, and prayer.
3. Build rhythms of worship, discipleship, and prayer that stir hunger and increase expectation.
Mobilize the Ministry Together
Ministry is not for a few—it’s for the whole body.
1. Launch ministries and events that entire families can participate in, from the youngest to the oldest.
2. Serve our city together: prayer walks, outreach, service projects, and seasonal drives.
3. Empower members to minister not only in church, but in homes, neighborhoods, and the marketplace.

JOSH & JASMINE ANDERSEN

My priority is God’s people.
I am an under-shepherd. As such, my main concern is the people in the church—their growth, their well-being, and their walk with Christ. Financial issues, building repairs, aesthetics, power struggles, and board efficiency are secondary. These problems are often temporary. The growth of the people is progressive and essential to the health of the body of Christ.
“That we should no longer be children, tossed to and for and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
(Ephesians 4:14–16)
